OUR BELIEFS

Statement of Faith

  • This statement of faith does not exhaust the extent of our beliefs.

  • The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God, that speaks with final authority concerning truth, salvation, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the soul and final source of all that we believe. There is one God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect, and eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (See below for more details.)

The Bible

  • “All Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.” (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

  • “For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12)

God the Father

  • “Worthy are You, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created all things, and because of Your will they existed, and were created.” (Revelation 4:11)

  • “God is faithful, through whom you were called into fellowship with His Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.” (1 Corinthians 1:9)

  • “Because Your loving-kindness is better than life, My lips will praise You.” (Psalms 63:3)

Holy Spirit

  • “In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory.” (Ephesians 1:13-14)

  • “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all that I said to you.” (John 14:26)

Jesus

  • “For in Him all the fullness of Deity dwells in bodily form” (Colossians 2:9)

  • “For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin.” (Hebrews 4:15)

  • “For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures.” (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)

  • “And having been made perfect, He became to all those who obey Him the source of eternal salvation.” (Hebrews 5:9)

  • “And there is salvation in no one else; for there is no other name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12)

Salvation

  • “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23)

  • “For we maintain that a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law.” (Romans 3:28)

  • “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)

  • “Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead, being by itself.” (James 2:17)

Church

  • “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” (Acts 2:42)

  • “Christ is the head of the church, He Himself being the Savior of the body.” (Ephesians 5:23b)

  • “For even as the body is one and yet has many members, and all the members of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ. For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.” (1 Corinthians 12:12-13)

  • “And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, ‘All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.’” (Matthew 28:18-20)

  • “Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making an appeal through us; we beg you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.” (2 Corinthians 5:20)

Jesus’ Return

  • “If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also.” (John 14:3)
