UPDATE 2.14.25

Hello, ministry partners!

Below are a few items we ask you to be praying for:

  • We have officially been cleared to attend Pre-Field Orientation ( PFO) in Waxhaw, North Carolina starting February 28th. This is a four-month long training intensive that is designed to prepare us for life and ministry in Nairobi, Kenya. The training is provided by JAARS (the aviation arm of Wycliff Bible Translators) at their facility. We will be staying in JAARS provided housing. Upon completing PFO in June, we will be departing for Kenya in mid-July. Please be praying for wisdom and good decision making as we prepare to move to North Carolina.
  • Pray for a clear head and good memory as Ben attends his PFO classes. Subjects that will be covered will include aircraft electrical systems, Cessna 206 maintenance, PT6 turbine engine intensive, intercultural communication and integration, mission field security and situational awareness, and more.
  • Ben’s mom is flying in this evening to spend the next few days with us (lets be real, she’s here to see Andy 😊). Pray for good fellowship and safety as she travels.
  • Praise God for His generous provision for our finances! We officially are 100% funded in our outgoing fund and our monthly support! (Reminder: if you are a former Proclaim donor, please switch your giving over to Africa Inland Mission as soon as possible, if you have not already done so. Please note that Proclaim cannot cancel donations remotely that are set up through Bill Pay. If you are using Bill Pay, please let me know so that I can mark that you have switched your giving).

Thank you, all!

For His Glory,

Ben McCammon

Hello, everyone! (10.15.24)

We pray your week is going well so far. We ask that you be laying the following before The Master’s feet:

  • Baby Andrew could come at any moment! Pray for Amber as she nears her due date (This Thursday, October 17th). We had another growth-check ultrasound done last week and found that there are no complications, but he is already an estimated 8 lbs. 8 oz! Pray for a smooth delivery, and strength/postpartum recovery for Amber.  Praise God for a healthy pregnancy thus far!
  • Praise God for allowing Ben to pass his TE!
  • With the TE finished, we are finally cleared to begin raising our ministry support for AIM. Our needs are $48,000 for our outgoing fee, $18,000 for a vehicle, and our monthly support target is $6440. Currently we have about $20,000 for the outgoing and $4800/month for monthly support through Proclaim. We have a great head start, but we still have a ways to go.  Please pray the Lord would direct us to other people who would desire to partner with us to see the gospel preached to the unreached and churches planted in Africa through the enabling ministry of aircraft maintenance.

Thank you for your prayers!

In Christ,
Ben and Amber McCammon (and baby Andy)
Hello, ministry partners!

We wanted to give a quick praise report regarding Ben’s Technical Evaluation that took place last week. The Lord was faithful and Ben passed his TE!

Thank you for all of your prayers and encouragement! With the TE complete, we are now moving forward with the final steps of confirming our assignment in Nairobi, Kenya.
You should receive our next quarterly newsletter by the beginning of next week, detailing the highlights of the past four months and what the future may hold.

Please be praying for our next steps and for the birth of our son Andrew, whose due date is October 17th.

Thank you for your prayers and partnership!

Ben and Amber

Ben passed!!!!!!!!!!

Hello, everyone! (9.29.24)

No newsletter yet, but we wanted to share a special prayer request for the coming week:

Ben’s technical evaluation (TE) is this week in North Carolina. The TE is from tomorrow (Sept 30) to Friday (October 4th). The TE is the next big step in joining Africa Inland Mission.

During the TE, Ben will be given maintenance projects and evaluated for his technical knowledge, decision making, and character.

Pray for:
  • A safe drive to and from North Carolina
  • A clear and calm mind
  • A joyful and humble heart
  • Wisdom for the evaluators
  • That Amber would not go into labor (she is at 37 weeks) while Ben is in NC (Amber will be staying with her parents in Georgia).
  • Pray that God’s will would be done!

Thank you all for your prayers! We will put out an update next week on the outcome of the TE. Shortly after that our next newsletter will launch.

In Christ,
Ben and Amber McCammon
Greetings, fellow servants of the One True King! (UPDATE 9.17.24)

We ask that you be lifting up the following praises and requests.

  • The missions conference at Faith Bible Church was both fun and encouraging. We had the honor of being the featured missionaries! Ben got to deliver a ministry update on Friday evening and Saturday night he preached on the partnerships found in Romans 16. The other speaker, David Meade, spoke on the centrality of the local church in missions. He also gave a personal charge to us, warning of the hardship to come as we enter missions, but also of the worthiness of Christ!

  •  Pray for good preparation as Ben gets ready for his Technical Evaluation. The TE is like a weeklong job interview where Ben is evaluated for his technical skills, decision making, and character. The TE is scheduled for Sept 30th to Oct 4th

  •  Today is exactly one month from baby Andrews due date! Thank you for all of your prayers, emails, and texts of encouragement during the appointment with the fetal cardiologist last week! We are still overcome with joy at the positive outcome, and are so thankful that it was just a mistaken diagnosis.

Thats all for this week! Continue in praising Jesus for all of His mighty works!

Ben and Amber McCammon
Hello ministry team! (Update 9.9.24)

  • Thank you so much for your prayers for our fetal cardiologist appointment today! After looking at Andy’s heart on ultrasound, the fetal cardiologist declared that he could not see any abnormalities with Andy’s little heart! It appears that the ultrasound technician that performed our 30-week ultrasound made an error and thought she saw a problem that was not really there. Praise the Lord!

  • We are prepping for a missions conference Sept 13-15 at Faith Bible Church where Ben will be giving a ministry update and a sermon.  Pray that the conference would go well. Pray that Ben would communicate clearly and effectively, and above all that Jesus’ name would be lifted high!

  • Small tech notice: We are sending this email from our new Africa Inland Mission provided email (ben.mccammon@aimint.org). Let us know if you experience any issues. You can still reach us at our mccammonministry@protonmail.com or our abmccammon@gmail.com email address if you prefer.

Thank you for your prayers and partnership in seeing the gospel preached and churches planted in Africa!

Ben & Amber McCammon
Hello friends!  (Update 9.6.24)

– From Aug 27- Sept 1 we got to visit with Amber’s brother and his wife in Kentucky. It was a good trip and we were able to do a ministry presentation for some of Bobby’s in-laws. We were also able to give a short update at their church. Praise the Lord for a safe and fun trip.

– This past week we attended a Christian music conference with Amber’s parents in Nashville, TN. We had a joyous and wonderful time worshipping the Lord with them and got to hear from Alister Begg, John Piper, and John Lennox. Praise the Lord!

– We finished our psychological interviews today, and the counselor will now forward his recommendations to AIM. There were no big mental concerns that he saw, so praise the Lord for another step taken towards our launch to Kenya.

– Baby Andrew has an appointment on Monday the 9th with a fetal heart specialist to confirm whether or not he has a dilated coronary sinus, a heart condition. Pray that if it’s in God’s will, that baby Andy’s heart would be healthy and that the last ultrasound technician simply made an error. Please be praying that we would trust the Lord and His goodness. Pray that the they would be able to give us more information on next steps if he does have a DCS.

In Christ’s unending love,

Ben & Amber McCammon
